No resurrection in the gospel of the kingdom
Here is one of the clearest evidences of there being a distinction between the gospel of the kingdom and the gospel of the grace of God in scripture.
1. Gospel of the kingdom
John 20:9 (KJV) For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
Peter and John, finding the tomb empty apart from the napkin and linen clothes, believed Christ's body had been taken.
They had heard Christ preach the gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 4:23) and indeed had been sent out to preach it themselves (Matthew 10:7). Clearly this gospel did not include the resurrection.
2. Gospel of the grace of God
1 Corinthians 15:14 (KJV) And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
