Position statements

The following statements underpin the teaching of The Work of the Ministry:

  1. The King James Version (KJV) is the perfectly preserved word of God in the English language and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice;

  2. The church, the body of Christ was instigated in Acts chapter 9, with the salvation of Saul (Paul) on the road to Damascus (known as a mid-Acts position);

  3. The Body of Christ is a new creature and is thus distinct from Israel;

  4. The doctrine for the Body of Christ is found in the 13 epistles of the apostle Paul, Romans to Philemon.

    If you are not in agreement with the combined position these statements produce, it is unlikely you will find the material on this site profitable.

Some terminology

Terminology found on this site incudes the following:

  1. Dispensation (scriptural term): The basis on which God is dealing with his creation. God has not always dealt with his creation on the same basis. For example, there are multiple different dietary requirements in scripture, in force at different times.

  2. Prophecy programme (shorthand; non-scriptural term): God’s plan for Israel as revealed in the Old Testament prophets. This plan includes promises, covenants, kingdom expectations and end-time events. When this programme is in effect, Gentiles can also be saved through it.

  3. Body of Christ (scriptural term): The church being built today in the dispensation of grace.

  4. Mystery programme (shorthand; non-scriptural term): God’s previously hidden plan for the building of the Body of Christ during the dispensation of grace.

  5. Right division (scriptural term): Understanding the dispensational audience of any given scripture, and in particular distinguishing the scriptures which are to the Body of Christ and those which are not.

  6. Progressive revelation (non-scriptural term): God reveals truth in stages, adding detail as we move through history.
